KISQALI TV Ad: Two Things

The intimate lives of ordinary people have always fascinated me; there is something miraculous about our own humanity.

As a Creative-Strategist, I am constantly teasing the brief looking for the nugget of truth hidden at the center. As a Copywriter, I saw the story of the light within all of us. As a Strategist, I saw the journey that lay ahead for each testimony:

This project began as always; a kickoff meeting with scope, budget, timelines, etc. Next, we were given one word, Reignite, along with a presentation of Rhett syndrome, a neuromuscular disease common in women. Each creative and their respective art partner was then set to work. Dozens of ideas were pitched in the end, some eventually floating their way onto what you see today.

My contribution is the hero image and dining scene. The inspiration for this scene came from Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." Since the theme was around women's health, we felt the Madonna figure could be reimagined in her child, the same way genetics are passed down.

Drawing on these principles of divinity, light, health, and joy, we wanted the elderly couple's dance to be one that is heartfelt, sincere, and intimate: possibly for the last time.

Two things, two lovers: one story.
